What a lovely afternoon for sunbathing eh? Unfortunately I’m stuck in the studio (as usual). Thought it would be great to have a tea break though and a friend just sent me this! Just a bit of caking around with The Great Cake Escape girls – I worked with them over my Hunter exhibition last year at the Shuffle Festival in Shoreditch.

This is a 5 minute documentary by film maker Michael Travis on their work and has loads of close ups of sugary cakes! Notice me in the background stuffing my face (in one of the clips). Love it!
Check it out here. Spread the sugar! >_< x

[...] Z’s pieces were beautiful and I particularly liked one where she had these bubbles that were halfway between eyes and peacock pattern. Hopefully Z won’t mind me putting up this little snippet of work I stole off her blog… [...]

No worries! Watching what you girls were up to made me want to start baking again. Although I personally wouldn’t serve anything I bake! T_T
I think this little ‘illo was made in inspiration of the Great Cake Escape on Digest.com, it’s pretty cute >_<
